While most reports thus far have claimed that Kim was totally in the dark about the over-the-top romantic gesture her rapper fiancĂ© had planned, RadarOnline.com reports that the reality star played a key part in the major event.
A source for the site claims, “Kim had picked out her own Lorraine Schwartz engagement ring.” Kim, whose ring from ex Kris Humphries, was also a Lorraine Schwartz creation “told Kanye to get the ring from Lorraine Schwartz because she loves the jeweler’s diamonds.” Hey, the girl knows what she likes. Plus, is it really that uncommon for the bride-to-be to weigh in on her ring, particularly when 15 carats and millions of dollars are at stake?
Although Kim didn’t know that Kanye would be popping the question on her birthday, Kim already understood that her boyfriend had intentions to propose. “She knew the proposal was happening,” says the source. “She just didn’t know when it would happen.”
While the jury’s still out on whether or not the couple’s engagement will make it onto an upcoming episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim’s wasting no time getting her wedding plans in order, says RadarOnline.com.
“She may even have this one be more over-the-top than her wedding to Kris, with several possible ceremonies and receptions,” says the source.
