Marc Anthony's Ex Seeking Huge Child Support Increase

Marc Anthony's ex-wife Dayanara Torres is seeking a nearly $10,000 increase in child support.

Actress Dayanara Torres, the ex-wife of Latin crooner Marc Anthony, is dragging the singer to court this week to demand a nearly tenfold increase in child-support payments, sources exclusively tell Page Six. We’re told Anthony already pays $13,000 a month in child support and an additional $3,500 in spousal support to Torres. But his jilted ex is looking to increase her child-support payout to a whopping $112,000 a month, based on Anthony’s huge earnings.
Puerto Rican-born Torres, a former Miss Universe, and Anthony were married in 2000 but divorced in 2004. The couple have two children, Cristian, 12, and Ryan, 10. Torres, we’re told, has been telling friends that Anthony doesn’t pay enough child support. A source told us: “She has a running joke with her friends — she asks them to ask for her money if they run into Marc.” But Anthony, who married Jennifer Lopez a week after his divorce from Torres was finalized, says he’s all paid up.
“Marc has paid every penny, well over $13,000 a month,” said the singer’s lawyer, Daniel Jaffe, who added that Anthony “has paid for all of the kids’ schooling, band lessons, camps, and all medical and dental costs. Virtually everything.” He says Anthony plans to ¬oppose Torres’ move in court. Anthony makes millions from touring, acting and a clothing line with Kohl’s. He also has a small stake in the NFL’s Miami Dolphins.
Anthony, who divorced Lopez in 2012, was most recently linked to Chloe Green, the daughter of Topshop founder Sir Philip Green, for more than a year. The salsa star performed Thursday night in Las Vegas at the Latin Grammy Awards.
Torres in 2008 wrote a book about her breakup with Anthony, “Married to Me: How Committing to Myself Led to Triumph After Divorce.” She moved to the United States last year to further her acting career. Her lawyer didn’t get back to us by press time.
