Zac Efron's Bodyguard a Convicted Drug Dealer?

The bodyguard who helped Zac Efron fight off transients on Skid Row last week is actually a convicted drug dealer.

Zac Efron was allegedly involved in an altercation in the early hours of Sunday morning in the 'Skid Row' part of Downtown Los Angeles, with the star punched in the face. Initially it was reported the 26 year-old was with a bodyguard, however a new report claims the man is actually a convicted drug dealer.

The 26 year-old is said to have recieved treatment for drug abuse last year, though this has been denied and friends are said to be concerned he's spending time with the man. TMZ has reported that Zac has been spending alot of time with the convicted drug dealer recently, despite friends warning him off the character.

"Zac's a loner. He goes out rarely and the idea of him driving for miles to go to some sushi restaurant in downtown L.A. after midnight is preposterous," a source said of the claims his car broke down in the dodgy area while they were heading to dinner in Little Toyko.
