Miley Cyrus and Justin Timberlake Not Affected by US Sanctions Against Russia

Live Nation Finland confirms upcoming Miley Cyrus and Justin Timberlake concerts will not be affected by U.S. sanctions against Russia.

U.S. sanction against Russia will not affect Miley Cyrus and Justin Timberlake's upcoming concert at Finland's Hartwall Arena. Reuters reports that the two stars, and several other U.S. acts, are still allowed to play shows at the Russians-owned venue.

"The sanctions will not have an impact on Hartwall Arena nor our business there," Nina Castren, the chief executive of Live Nation Finland said. This means that Cyrus' June show and Timberlake's sold-out gig scheduled for May will go ahead as planned.

The concerts were at risk because the Hartwall Arena was owned by three Russian tycoons who were all connected to Russian president Vladimir Putin.

The men, oil trader Gunvor Gennady Timchenko and Putin's childhood friends Boris and Arkady Rotenberg, have had their visas revoked and assets frozen by the United States as part of sanctions put in place following Russia's annexation of the Crimean peninsula from Ukraine.
