Stephen Collins Accuses Wife of Extortion

7th Heaven actor Stephen Collins accuses estranged wife of leaking child molestation confession to extort more money from their divorce.

Stephen Collins has finally addressed the claims that he admitted to child sexual molestation offences, with his lawyer speaking out on behalf of the 7th Heaven actor to blame his wife, Faye Grant, for releasing the audio tapes in an attempt to extort millions of dollars out of him in their lengthy divorce battle.
Shocking clips which were reportedly recorded secretly by Grant in 2012 during a therapy session and released this week by TMZ, are alleged to feature Collins, 67, confessing to committing several counts of sexual crimes against three young children decades ago, prompting an official police investigation in New York. Now reacting to the scandal, Collins’ lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan, has released a statement on behalf of the actor, blaming Grant for trying to use the audio clips in their bitter divorce.
“Over the course of my representation of Stephen in the divorce case, Faye has repeatedly threatened to give this audiotape to the media unless Stephen agreed to pay her millions of dollars more than that to which she was legally entitled,” Kaplan said in the statement released to TMZ. “When these demands were rebuffed, Faye attempted - without success - to peddle the tape in numerous ways to numerous different people. It appears that she has finally found an audience for this tape - not surprisingly, on the eve of the trial in the divorce case where, again, she is seeking millions of dollars more than that to which she is legally entitled.”

I wonder he was the real reason why Jessica Beil pretty much quit 7th Heaven because she was actually a lot younger then she was playing. Beverly was really old, but since she was short and looked young, they had he play Lucy.
