Pop star Taylor Swift joins The Voice as a mentor.
It looks like Taylor Swift will be able to put the cheerleading skills she mastered in her "Shake It Off" video to good use – cheering on contestants of NBC'sThe Voice.
The singer, 24, will join the upcoming seventh season of the singing competition this fall as an advisor. She'll be picking up where Coldplay's Chris Martin left off last season.
She will be working alongside veteran coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, as well as newcomers Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani.
Swift is the latest advisor to be announced to a lineup that already packs a lot of star power – Little Big Town, Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys and Stefani's husband,Gavin Rossdale, are also on board as advisors.Jacked from People

i'm guessing this is to further promote her album, and to possibility scout for "fresh meat", if you get what i mean.
