Actress Chloe Sevigny disses younger Oscar winning actress Jennifer Lawrence in V Magazine.
Chloe Sevigny goes against popular opinion and disses Jennifer Lawrence in a new V magazine interview, calling the Oscar winner “annoying” and “crass.” Sevigny’s comment came during a discussion of how actors now need to have marketable personalities.
“So much is about marketing and selling the product,” explains Sevigny. “They’ll have a really peppy funny girl on the talk show rounds, and everybody adores her and loves her and wants to be her or f*ck her, and then so many more people want to watch the movie or TV show. I understand that star quality, how much value that carries.”
She continues, “I love when a movie star is a great movie star. I think Angelina Jolie is a great movie star. I don’t think I can be that, or just be an actor. I don’t think I have the charisma. Which is probably why I never reached another level. I like Emma Stone. Whenever she’s herself, she’s really cute. Jennifer Lawrence I find annoying. Too crass.”
Reflecting on her own career, Sevigny says, “I’m afraid that maybe people think there’s more personality than acting ability. What I did on Big Love, Hit & Miss, and American Horror Story, it’s not like I’m just playing the same character over and over again. I would like to be respected more as an actress. It’s not like I can complain about anything. I think I’ve had great opportunities, but you can always have more.”Jacked from Gossip Cop

I like Chloe....I still remember that movie 'Kids' she did with Rosario Dawson. But she's a very weird chick and her career never really excelled....unlike Rosario, who is doing quite well. Jennifer Lawrence is the "it" girl. She can thank the hunger games, for opening up so many doors for her. Hollywood loves her and she ain't going anywhere, till they use her all up.
i find jlaw crass too. to me she's just an obnoxious, drunk frat boy in a woman's body. but like 12:52 said, she's the "it" girl for now, so i hope she enjoys the ride while it lasts.
