Barry Manilow Marries Manager in Private Ceremony

Barry Manilow married his longtime manager Garry Kief in a private ceremony last year.

Barry Manilow — the man whose tunes have no doubt been “first songs” at countless weddings since his 1973 hit “Could It Be Magic” — has secretly tied the knot himself.
The National Enquirer reports that the “Can’t Smile Without You” singer married his longtime manager, Garry Kief, last year in a private ceremony.
The nuptials were a surprise, a source said, when 50 guests were invited to lunch at Manilow’s Palm Springs, Calif., spread.
Suzanne Somers was “best man” and Manilow’s assistant performed a “commitment ceremony.”
Though the very private pair apparently didn’t sign any paperwork for fear the union would leak, they’re wearing wedding bands and “are committed to one another and have been for a very long time,” a source reportedly said. “They have a great relationship. Garry has always been there for Barry.”
A rep for Manilow said, “I don’t comment on my clients’ personal lives.”
