Move over Britney and Mariah. Jennifer Lopez is coming to town.
Jennifer Lopez announced on Tuesday night that she’ll have her first-ever residency in Las Vegas, beginning January 20, 2016 at the AXIS Theater at Planet Hollywood. Lopez said, “I’ve been preparing for this moment my entire life,” adding, “The show is going to be a multifaceted high energy Jenny from the Block party, mixing all aspects of what my fans and I love – Dance, Hip Hop, Latin and Pop. It’s going to be the show I’ve always dreamt of creating.”
Pre-sale tickets for American Express cardholders begin on May 13, and the rest of the public can buy seats, starting May 16. As of now, Lopez will be performing 20 shows, spread across January and February and May and June 2016. It is unclear right now when more dates will be added to her schedule.
Lopez initially announced the news over Twitter with a note that read, “So excited!!! This is going to be the show I’ve always dreamed of creating. Tickets on sale Sat, May 16. #JLoVegas.” There was also a video announcement of the residency a few minutes later (below).
