Mel Lowers Child Support Payment after Baby Mama Files Restraining Order

Somebody needs to tell Mel Gibson's baby mama you catch more flies with honey. After she filed a restraining order to keep Mel from seeing their child on Father's Day, he retaliated by cutting her child support.

Mel Gibson is not going to give his baby mama what she wants.

The actor's lawyer, Stephen Kolodny, tells TMZ.com that Gibson is scaling back his ex's child support payments after she breached their custody agreement.

While Oksana Grigorieva recently told the Daily Mail that Gibson was paying "nothing" to support their eight-month-old daughter, Lucia, Kolodny claims that Gibson went "above and beyond" the child support payments they had agreed upon in mediation.

According to the gossip Web site, the 54-year-old star paid his ex somewhere in the neighborhood of $10,000 a month to support her and their child, not to mention buying her a multi-million dollar home and a car.

But after Grigorieva filed a restraining order keeping Gibson from visiting their daughter on Father's Day, Kolodny says the actor will be scaling back the payments to what they originally agreed upon.

The tiff comes hot on the heels of the couple's dueling restraining orders, custody issues, and a report from Grigorieva's camp that Gibson knocked her teeth out in a fight in January, four months before they announced their split.

Grigorieva gave birth to Lucia last October, although rumors have surfaced of an affair between Gibson and porn producer Violet Kowal while Grigorieva was pregnant.

Gibson split from his wife Robyn in 2009, citing "irreconcilable differences," after reports surfaced that he was having an affair with Grigorieva.

I bet she didn't think her being a jump off would turn out like THIS... HEY!! A NEW reaity show... JUMP-OFF'S GONE WRONG!!! LOL... But on the REAL side, she should just let him have joint custody. Its better in the long run then to go through all of this craziness. When their daughter gets older and finds out that her mother broke up a home to get with her father and her mother didn't even keep him around, she's not going to respect her mother.
