Natalie, 29, dances the lead in the ballet-themed film, but Mila's getting Oscar buzz for her supporting role, and Natalie is NOT happy, sources say.
"This was supposed to be Natalie's BIG role, so she's totally upset that Mila is getting so much praise," an insider told The ENQUIRER.
"Natalie's confident about her performance, but she clearly didn't expect Mila to be getting so much Oscar talk."
Not unlike real life, in Black Swan, the two actresses play rival ballerinas competing for the title role in "Swan Lake."
And while Natalie was nominated for a Film Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead, it was Mila who was awarded the Marcello Mastroianni Award at the Venice Film Festival for best young actor.
As for the Oscars, "Natalie knows that the Best Actress category is more competitive and Supporting Actress honors usually go to an unexpected newcomer - like Mila," said the source.
"It's like when Jennifer Hudson stole every single scene from Beyonce in Dreamgirls. And look what happened there - Jennifer walked away with the Academy Award!"

this was a fantastic movie! id definitely think that Natalie Portman deserves an oscar for this, she played the SHIT out of that role! Mila Kunis performed well too, however she was just a supporting actress... not THAT great, her acting was just something you arent used to it. the movie overall was great! i wanna see it again!

Women all secretly hate each other. Even some chicks have agreed to this. That's why it's a man rule that if two females are fighting/arguing, unless either one of them means anything to you, you let them fight.
Anyway, I think it's because everybody knows Mila Kunis because of Family Guy as opposed to Natalie Portman from Star Wars. Essentially,more people like Family Guy than Star Wars.
I don't believe this - Natalie does not get me as a dweeb who would be hung up on this - in fact I think she'd be happy for Mila...and genuinely so... and Mila also carry's herself with class.... this is some PR idiot trying to get your ass into the theatre's....
you cannot compare Beyonce's non acting ass with these two - this is more a Katherine Zeta Rene Zelwigger Chicago comparison...
This is one story I do not believe. In real life these two actresses are friends. I agree with Anon: 2:05, just some PR bullshit to get you to see the movie.
This is a big jump for mila kunis because shes done that 70s show( as a spoiled brat) and megs voice on family guy. i would expect her to get rave reviews however, they both look like they did a good job in the previews( going to see it this weekend)
I don't believe this either. Natalie Portman is getting all the accolades. She will probably win the golden globe and oscar. She is truly a phemonenal actress.
