I am black and I tip the minimum 15% - 20% regardless to the level of service. We often sit there as if we are King and Queen Ish, but fail to realize that the servers are attempting to make a living as well. If the service is poor, tell the management,which often results in an adjustment to your bill.

LeBood is notorious for this in Akron circles. He would go into any establishment in the area, bring in all his hood rats, and then tell the ownership he 'forgot' payment or expected to be comped.
Never tipped. Ever. I laugh now that the rest of the country is figuring out why we were glad to get rid of him and his constantly drunk driving monther.
