Lindsay Lohan's ex lover is removing the tattoo they got together.

Samantha Ronson is having her matching tattoo with ex-girlfriend Lindsay Lohan covered up.

The 33-year-old DJ - who had an on/off relationship with the troubled actress for around two years - had a small heart etched onto her left hand in 2008 to complement the 'Mean Girls' star's design, but she has now decided she doesn't want any reminders of their romance.

So she has created a new inking, which includes a skull and crossbones to cover it up.

Samantha brainstormed ideas for her next tattoo, which will be something on her left hand to cover up the small heart she got in 2008 to match Lindsay's tattoo.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Samantha brainstormed ideas for her next tattoo, which will be something on her left hand to cover up the small heart she got in 2008 to match Lindsay's tattoo."

As well as Samantha - who was recently arrested for driving under the influence - moving on from their relationship, it seems Lindsay is as well as she is currently dating a model.

The 25-year-old was spotted on a dinner date with Spencer Falls at Hollywood's Chateau Marmont hotel, and the hunk was also seen leaving her home in Venice Beach, California.

A fellow diner said: "Lindsay seemed totally smitten by him and just really happy. It was really refreshing to see her back to her old self again."

Last month, Lindsay completed 35 days under house arrest for stealing a necklace and violating the terms of her 2007 conviction for driving under the influence (DUI).
