Well, my sources tell me it was over Tiger’s ex-wife Elin…I know this sounds ridiculous, but Steve and Elin were still friending each other, and that was a serious no-no in Tiger’s book…Reportedly Tiger asked Williams to cease any contact with Elin, which apparently he didn’t comply with. Well he will have better opportunities it not like Tiger is doing well in Golf himself these days. So Tiger does not want anyone having good feeling about Elin and that is why she ignores his azz to the extreme.

Yeah Tiger screwed up royally, but it ain't like his wife didn't get paid. He wrote Steven Williams' paycheck, not Elin. AND I AM NOT TEAM TIGER. But business is business. Elin and Tiger are frenemies and you cannot have anyone on your team working for the other side. That common business rules in corporate america. And BTW, everyone whoever worked for Tiger knew he ran a very tight ship.

Your enemies are not my enemies, but I would fire an employee who was friends with my ex. And I wouldn't befriend my boss's ex. Whether I'm the employee or boss, that's unnecessary drama I don't need at work.
Because of the situation surrounding the divorce and all of the other unrelenting firestorm-hell that followed Tiger's infidelity, Tiger and Elin are on opposite side of the fence. There's just no way you will be able to stay loyal to both Tiger AND Elin without conflict. The situation is just too delicate. He was Tiger's employee not Elin, so losing his job was unfortunate but appropriate. Steve should have know a little better. notatigerstan
