Lindsay Lohan is facing jail time if it's proven she lied to police officers regarding her car crash.
Lindsay Lohan could be in trouble with the law -- again.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the actress lied to police officers, claiming she was not driving the Porsche that slammed into the back of a dump truck in Los Angeles Friday. While charges have yet to be filed, the same sources said Lohan could be prosecuted.
Oh, will she never learn?
At stake is Lohan's freedom. In March, a judge ended the actress' supervised probation on shoplifting and drunk-driving convictions. But Lohan remains on informal probation until May 2014, meaning she could face up to 245 days in jail for her latest legal tangle.
While in the hospital after the accident, Lohan reportedly told police she was a just passenger in the car, but her assistant revealed the actress was actually driving.
Lohan has had several accounts of the accident so far. She claims the truck cut her off and later told friends that the brakes failed on her rented Porsche.
The truck driver denies cutting her off. What's more, he told TMZ that one of Lohan's assistants "took me across the street and told me this was some kind of famous person and they didn't want to be in the media. But I'd already called 911 because they were trying to get away from the scene."
The driver has hired a lawyer because of undisclosed injuries not uncovered until a hospital visit Sunday.Jacked from Mercury News

Somewhere in time Lindsay must have bought out every get-out-of-jail-free-card there ever was because while we (regular folks) would sit and rot in jail for our misdeeds no matter how slight, Lindsay gets a pass no matter how severe a misdeed. The judges just WON'T make her accountable. The most they will do is threaten her with probation maybe. Anybody else(non celebrity) gets jail no matter how crowded jail is. That's All Folks!

Lohan will remain on informal probation with only an empty threat that she could face up to 245 days in jail. Even if she went to jail for this violation, officials would release her within minutes citing crowded facilities. Isn't it ironic that they won't released any other inmate within that crowded facility to make room for Lohan?
