Justin Timberlake Buys a Stake in the NBA


Justin Timberlake is buying a piece of the Memphis Grizzlies.

Justin Timberlake is going to own a piece of Memphis Grizzlies. The singer is reportedly one of the people selected by Robert Pera, prospective new owner of the basketball team, to become part of his ownership group.
Pera, CEO of wireless technology company Ubiquiti Networks, is the lead to buy the NBA team from Michael Heisley. He reportedly had agreed to pay an estimated $350 million for a deal that will keep Grizzlies in Memphis for the next 15 years.
Words are, Timberlake and Pera have struck a friendship that will make them partners in business. A source told ESPN, the singer/actor is planning to make "a meaningful investment into the team" and wants to be active with the Grizzlies. Timberlake himself is no stranger to the sports for the self-proclaimed fan has been involved in various celebrity games at All-Star Weekend.
Timberlake grew up near Memphis, Tennessee. He has bought a public golf course and spent thousands of dollars for music cause in Memphis.
