Taye Diggs Catches Burglar In the Act

Actor Taye Diggs captured and subdued a burglar he caught looting his home.

Actor Taye Diggs followed in LL Cool J's fearless footsteps Sunday night and personally apprehended a burglar at his Los Angeles residence.

The "Private Practice" star had just returned home from the SAG Awards when he encountered the 20-year-old man rifling through possessions at his Studio City home.

"He found the suspect in his garage looking for items to steal. When he tried to run away, (Diggs) chased the suspect down the street and was able to detain him until police arrived," Los Angeles Police spokesman Richard French said. Suspect Hassan Juma was arrested at 11:20 p.m. and booked for felony burglary.
