Justin Bieber is said to have held up his London concert for more than two hours while he played video games in his dressing room.
STROPPY teen superstar Justin Bieber ranted “It’s my gig, I’ll go out when I want” as he kept sobbing fans waiting two hours for his show, it was claimed yesterday.
The singer threw a tantrum as staff pleaded with him to go on stage, concert workers said.
And he blanked a 15-year-old fan who won a competition to meet him, spending less than ten seconds with her.
A source close to Bieber claimed he was late for Monday night’s chaotic concert at London’s O2 Arena because he got up late, then spent hours playing computer games.
The Baby singer, 19, who came on stage for last night’s show half an hour EARLY, was forced into an embarrassing apology yesterday, blaming “technical problems” for the delay.
He insisted he was just 40 minutes late and arrogantly called the concert — the first of four at the venue — “great”.
Hundreds of fans had been forced to leave before the show finally began at 10.20pm to catch trains home.
There were scenes of parents, who paid up to £331 a ticket, carrying sleeping kids away.
Staff at the O2 described the backstage chaos as unbelievable.
One worker, who did not want to be named, said: “He was arguing with members of his management, his family. It was a really uncomfortable atmosphere. His attitude was, ‘I’m the star and I can do what I want’.”
Another worker, Ellie Grace, said: “I hope I never have to experience so many upset children and disappointed fans again. “I’d love to know why Bieber felt it was alright to leave 20,000 people waiting for two hours.”
Mum Lindsay Gilbertson, whose daughter was at the show, said staff told her he was arguing backstage.
She said: “We were told he was kicking up a real fuss. He was saying, ‘It’s my show, I’ll go out when I want to’.”
Jane Mayhew, 43, who travelled from Ipswich with her three daughters, could only stay for a few songs before they had to leave.
Daughter Courtney, 15, said: “We basically saw him do three songs, all from his old tour. Even when the music was playing he was hardly on it.”
Another source alleged: “His lateness was because he didn’t get out of bed until late and sat in his dressing room playing games — even though his door was being knocked. He then threw a strop as he said he wanted a shower first, despite already being late.
“Justin arrived at the O2 at 3pm to do some meet and greets, but he didn’t get up until late because he’d had a heavy night at his hotel.”
A 15-year-old girl who won a competition to meet Bieber before the gig told how her excitement turned to disgust after his rude treatment of her.
The girl and her pal — too scared to be named for fear of reprisals from Bieber’s loyal fans, known as Beliebers — said they queued for three hours to spend “less than ten seconds” with their idol.
When she asked him for a cuddle, she claimed he told her: “I don’t have time.”
Her angry dad, from Weybridge, Surrey, told The Sun: “The way he has treated my daughter and her friend is appalling, like dirt.
“They won the competition to meet him, but paid an extra £150 each to see him in concert afterwards and how has he repaid them? By acting like a spoiled brat.
"It's disgusting.”
It also emerged yesterday that Bieber was larking around backstage with his manager when he should have been on stage. The star tweeted at 9.30pm: “Me and @scooterbraun have been going under the rafters and grabbing people’s lets (sic) and seeing them freak out. Haha #pranksterontheloose”.
He later removed the message.
Hundreds of fans were yesterday trying to sell tickets for future shows for as little as £9 each, fearing another late show.
Bieber’s Monday gig did not start until 10.20pm. He faces a hefty fine of up to £50,000 after running 35 minutes over the O2’s 11pm curfew, and had to cut his set short.
Afterwards he partied with Rihanna, Will Smith and X Factor stars Little Mix at West End club DSTRKT.
He was driven to last night’s gig from his hotel in a black Maybach limo, surrounded by six motorbikes, each bearing a Canadian flag.
The source added: “Justin’s really been going off the rails in recent months. He’s bound to be pulled in for crisis talks.”
A spokesman for the star refused to comment.Jacked from The Sun
