Gwyneth Paltrow Praises Met Ball

Gwyneth Paltrow backtracks on Met Gala criticism and praises the event in her lifestyle newsletter.
Gwyneth Paltrow has praised the Met Ball.
Although the 40-year-old actress recently slammed the Costume Institute Gala, which took place at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art earlier this month, she wrote a gushing post about it in her lifestyle newsletter Goop.
Gwyneth wrote: ''The Met Ball, at NYC's Metropolitan Museum of Art, is always the year's most elaborate display of incredible fashion and this year was no different. The theme was 'Punk: Chaos to Couture' and when the house of Valentino's Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri asked me to join them, I was thrilled to see what they would create with my right fashion hand, Elizabeth Saltzman.
''We got all inspired in the goop office about punk making a comeback through subtle influence and thus, we asked one of my absolute favorite websites, the most excellently curated SSENSE, to show us how we could work it into our spring/summer wardrobes (sic).
The 'Iron Man 3' actress' kind words are the complete opposite of what she had to say about the annual gala during recent interviews.
She complained: ''I'm never going again. It was so un-fun. It was boiling. It was too crowded. I did not enjoy it at all.
''Do you want me to be honest? It sucked. It seems like the best thing in the world. You always think this is going to be so glamorous and amazing and you'll see all these people. But you get there, it's so hot, it's so crowded, everyone is pushing you... This year it was so intense, it wasn't fun.
''I think we're all a bit too old to dress up punk.''

I cannot stand this phony, homely hag. If life were fair, she wouldn't have a Hollywood career.
