Britney Spears Las Vegas Tickets Slow to Move

Britney Spears fans slow to snap up tickets for her Las Vegas residency.
Britney Spears is back — or is she?
The 31-year-old singer’s new gig for a two-year residency of her stage show Britney: Piece of Me at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas has had dismal ticket sales, at best, and an industry insider exclusively tells RadarOnline.com that everyone involved with the show is really worried.
The numbers are in, and of the first 16 shows running Dec. 27 through Feb. 22, Spears has only sold out three shows.
“After spending hundreds of thousands on promo, they expected to instantly sell out all of the first 16 shows, but they didn’t come close!” the source told Radar.
“In fact, Britney only sold out three of the 16 shows put on sale and many are considering this a disaster.”
According to the insider, Las Vegas residencies in the past such as Celine Dion and Shania Twain sold out their first block of shows right away.
“There are nearly 50 shows a year and the theater is small…it only holds about 4,500 people,” the source said.
“So all of this put together really isn’t looking well for Britney. Ticket sales need to start skyrocketing or else there’s going to be a lot of disappointed investors and people involved with the show.”
As Radar previously reported, Spears is worth more than $44 million thanks to a blend of assets, property, cash and smart stock market trading — and will be raking in a reported $15 million per year of her residency, equaling $30 million total.

$15 mil per year and only 3 of her shows are sold-out? Plus the cost of promotion, AND the money spent on her X-Factor gig and her last album and tour? The only way the investors are gonna get their money back and turn a profit is if she dies. Morbid, but true. Most of her fans have grown up and/or moved on, and she's obviously a shell of her former self, so it's pointless to keep investing millions in her as if it's still 1999-2001, but her handlers are desperate to make a buck, so they'll keep pushing her until she literally drops dead.

It's BEEN over for this chick .. greedy ass "handlers" milkin her for every cent they can get they hands on. Shit is sad.

The only thing she had going for her was the fact that she was a decent dancer, but now she can't even do that. Who's gonna pay their money to see a lip syncing barely moving zombie? Stop milking her and let her go spend the rest of her life raising her kids and trying to reverse the damage the industry did to her

@8:21AM Unfortunately, I think you're right. It's the reason why these big record labels and corporations inflate the hell out of these "deals" for entertainers. We "oooh" and "aaahhh" over Britney getting $10 million deals or Beyonce getting $50 million deals, but they aren't "deals", they're LOANS! These entertainers are financially enslaved for LIFE because very few can even earn enough to pay those "deals" back after (like you said) cost of promotions, album recording sessions, paying staff/lawyers/entourage, taxes, etc....when their stardom fades the next step IS death because that is the final great leap to pay all those expenses back; we all know that old adage that artists are "worth more dead than alive."

I remember being a young kid and wanting to be the black version of Britney. But now it seems like it's much better, safer, and saner to be an Internet sensation. I know the world isn't ready to legitimize YouTube stars as "entertainers" but at least there's no signing in blood when you upload your videos doing covers...

Anonymous @ 8:21 "The only way the investors are gonna get their money back and turn a profit is if she dies."

The hollywood demons have been doing this to celebrities for decades. Jimi Hendrix, Notorious BIG, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, don't be surprised to read about Britney dying a mysterious death soon. If you choose to become a hollywood star, you make a deal with the devil and the devil always comes to collect.

What comes to mind when I see this broad is, the lights are on but nobody's home. She been gone for awhile now, but her handlers got that neck in a noose and they're not letting go till she drops dead or flips out to the point she can never perform again. Celine Deion had it right. When Whitney died, she said MAKE THAT MONEY and then GET OUT. This is why the industry loves kids & thirsty ass bitches. Kids & bitches [men included] are easily manipulated into the satanic circle. After that it's do as you're told until we're tired of using your dumb stupid desperate ass.

Remember when Britney sang the song, "I'm a slave for you", she wasn't kidding. Britney is literally a slave for hollywood!
