Kanye West Had to Settle for Kylie Jenner

Kanye West really wanted Kendall Jenner to walk in his fashion show but he had to settle for Kylie.

There was some family drama behind the scenes at Kanye West’s Fashion Week presentation — and we don’t mean baby North West’s well-documented tantrum in the front row.

Sources tell Page Six that West booked his sister-in-lawKylie Jenner, 17, to walk in his Kanye X Adidas show Thursday after her sister — in-demand fashion modelKendall, 19, who was his first choice — wasn’t available.

Kendall was already exclusively booked to walk in Alexander Wang’s fall 2015 presentation Saturday, so she declined to participate in West’s show in order to honor her agreement with Wang.

West unveiled his much-anticipated Adidas sportswear and shoe collection at Skylight Clarkson Square, where a crowd, including top fashion editors, waited 45 minutes for the show to start — including cooling their heels in a freezing loading dock outside.

Kendall sat front-row during the presentation near Wang, a sign to some fashion insiders she was saving herself for his show days later.

We hear Wang’s people were up in arms when they found out West had asked his wife Kim Kardashian’s sister Kendall, who’s also the face of Estée Lauder, to appear in his show.

“Kendall made a deal,” said a source of her honoring the contract over family. “She has a job to do.” The rapper then asked Kendall’s little sister. “If you can’t get Kendall, you get Kylie,” said our source, adding, “It was a whole controversial thing.” Kylie modeled a pair of sheer “boy shorts” and an oversize jacket.

But another source close to West insisted that Kylie was always his first choice, and added that he was still able to use Kendall as a “fit model” because Kylie didn’t arrive in New York till a day before the presentation.

Wang — who attended West and Kardashian’s wedding — sat in the front row at Thursday’s show near Kim and fussy North, 1, who threw a tantrum during the show and had to be taken backstage away from guests Beyoncé, Jay Z, Anna Wintour and Rihanna. Reps didn’t get back to us.
