Plans to move Patrick Swayze's elderly mother into a nursing home have sparked more feuding between his widow Lisa and his brothers, sources tell The ENQUIRER.
As the first anniversary of Patrick's death on Sept. 14 nears, Lisa is telling Sean and Don Swayze that the Dirty Dancing star wanted their mother Patsy in an assisted living facility - BUT they don't believe her.
"They resent Lisa telling them it's what Patrick wanted and they're wondering why he didn't tell them himself," said a source close to the family.
"They're accusing Lisa of trying to control everything!"

What is going on people always have an oppinion. But if their mother is in her home then she can put her in an assisted living facility. But if she's not then what the hell are we talking about? If they have suggestions on where she should be then they should take over.

Hy is this woman still makiing decisions for her dead husbands mother when she still has 2 adult sons? Does Mom live with the DIL while the sons give orders??? I definietly agree with the Swiss cheese theory. A lot of info is missing.
If a nursing home is where she would be better cared for, then thats where she needs to be, children of elderly parents need to realize that tending to an elderly parent is hard work,
and need not feel guility by getting the best care possible, that is, if they have the funds.
she was left with his money and doesn't want to take care of his mother now that he's dead? more abuse happens in senior care facilities not to mention the loneliness and neglect felt. all of the above commenters must be young or just heartless. take care of family as the elders took care of you. why send your parents to strangers to take care of ? heartless just heartless
I agree 8:17. Taking care of elderly parents is hard work, but it's a labor of love.
she juat does not want to be bothered.. see, when a spouse dies who has been taking care of his or her mother, the surviving spouse most always puts the parent in a nursing facility and forgets all about them his bros are right if pat wanted that he would have told his brothers too.. thats their mama just as well as she is his.. if his mama has some kind of dementia then yes she needs to be in a facility but if she can wash,dress, and feed herself, and is walking around with little or no assistance, just hire a nurse to help her out for a couple hours a day.. get a private duty nurse.. they can afford it.. also they may not have to pay for it.. she may be eligible for this service.. won't hurt to ask..
I don't agree with Lisa about sending her to an assisted living facility. If the family whom she is living with wants her with them, and she is good with it, then for goodness sakes Lisa let her live her life in the comfort of her children. There is help out there to help her to stay in her own home. If this is a 'who controls the money' issue, shame on you Lisa.
Patrick loved his family, as he loved you. He would want you to do what is kind and loving >>>not selfish. Who earned all that money, anyway? It really is sad when someone becomes intstantly "rich" and feels the need to hold the power. You would be so much better thought of if you were more generous and kind. This sort of fighting only makes you look very greedy. I hope for your sake, you are the kind and loving woman Patrick thought you were.
