Can Beyonce Make It Without Mathew?

The world wants to know: Can Beyonce recreate the Mathew Knowles magic without Mathew Knowles?

When Beyoncé Knowles announced in March that she would no longer require the services of the only manager ever to steer her career–her father, Mathew Knowles–the decision seemed as amicable as leaving the family picnic in separate cars. “He is my father for life and I love my dad dearly,” the pop superstar said at the time. And Mathew Knowles seemed equally sanguine.

“Business is business and family is family,” he said. “I love my daughter and am very proud of who she is and all that she has achieved.”

But based on court documents filed this week by Mathew in a Harris County, Texas district court, the fissure between them runs much deeper than was ever previously known and speaks to a certain amount of, well, bad blood. The filing indicates that Beyoncé believes her father stole from her, and as a result she banished him from her business affairs. And now, even while Mathew appears determined to assert his innocence, Beyoncé’s career seems to have somewhat abated. She is no longer burning through popular culture with the supernova intensity that made her one of the world’s most celebrated performers throughout the ‘00s, leading some industry observers to wonder whether the singer is up to the task of masterminding her career without her father’s help.

“She went off on her own, said, ‘I’m going to take more control,’” said a well-placed music industry source who asked not to be identified. “And now people are watching her, crossing their arms like, ‘OK, are you really up to this?’ There’s this idea she could fail for the first time.”

No.

As shady as Daddy K is, he was the perfect cutthroat thieving conniving snake that she needed to become the superstar that she is. A Papa Joe 2.0 he was. But something tells me without Daddy K's influence (payola, bribery, etc), she's not gonna be as successful this decade.

He had to take her money to buy her albums to get her numbers up. They're trying to make Bey some kind of Diana Ross, Mirah Carey (in her popular years) or Michael Jackson when no one has ever been checking for her in that magnitude. She's an R&B artist in a time when the general population isn't buying that on top of the fact that the economy is shit and no one is buying music anyway. The same thing happened when she put out that "Bee" album. Nobody bought it when it came out and the record label panicked and all of a sudden she had a late sales spurt.

I have said it before and I will say it again. The biggest mistake Beyonce made was getting with Jay-Z. She sould have stuck with her dad. Now her career is in serious trouble. It will take a miracle to make a comeback.

Her album is #1 for a second week in a row so I would say YES!

^^^^Because no other competition was out with anything new at the time. Stans/family purchases them anyway.

I guess the shady antics of her pimp paid off. He is not paying DJs to not pay other REAL artist music and songwriters for her to get the publishing credit.

I hope that never happens but if it does, we should not be surprised. Remember what Rick James said,"Cocaine is a hell of a drug"!
