Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin arrested at the airport in Denver for riding the luggage carousel.
Puddle Of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin was arrested at an American airport for allegedly taking a “joy ride” on the baggage carousel just hours before he was due on stage, according to a U.S. report.
The band started a gig in Denver, Colorado late on Friday, and it has now emerged that troubled singer Scantlin was reportedly arrested at Denver International Airport in the hours before the show.
A statement posted online by Rock Panther Presents, the promoters behind the gig at Casselmans Bar & Venue Denver, suggests Scantlin fell foul of airport security services by taking a ride on the luggage carousel and ended up in jail.
The message, posted on Facebook.com before the gig, reads, “So if you haven’t heard yet Wes the lead signer from Puddle Of Mudd decided to take a joy ride on the carousel at the airport this morning thru (through) restricted access and got arrested. We have been on this all day and he is just about to be release (sic) from jail and will head straight to the venue. The show will go on but that is why we are running late.”
The band started the gig late and Scantlin thanked fans for waiting in a post on the band’s Facebook page, writing, “I’m here Denver! Thanks for your patience – Wes.”
The promoters suggest a local fan helped bail Scantlin out of jail in time for the concert.
Scantlin, 42, has suffered numerous personal problems in recent years, including losing his home to foreclosure and a legal battle for allegedly failing to pay his credit card bill.Jacked from WENN
